\nMay the Love and Mercy of Jesus Christ be shared with the people in this sanctuary as well as people in the world!
\nOur Gospel today is the wedding in Cana. As I read a short time ago. Jesus did an unbelievable miracle. What does this story mean? I think depending on who the bride and groom are, we may interpret it so many different ways.
\nIn the beginning part of today\u2019s Gospel, Mary was already there, but Jesus and disciples were invited. It seems Mary was like a mother or aunt and taking on an important host role; said another way Mary was taking on leadership role of all the servants on behalf of the guests. So as the host if there was no wine left, she most likely panic. Even though she was anxious in her heart, she did not show her emotions to the guests and just reported the fact to his son Jesus.
\nThen, even though the conversation with Jesus was somewhat cold, she just trusted him and then told the servants \u201cDo whatever Jesus tells you.\u201d From this story you might learn an important leadership skill that even in a pinch is helpful, just being quiet and trusting the Lord. <\/p>\n

Of the wedding\u2019s details, we do not know whose wedding it was\u2026 There is no clear description. Although the groom appeared in this story, it did not say who he was. There is no bride. If it is the 20th or 21st century, the most important person in a wedding is, probably not the pastor who officiate the wedding service, but of course the bride. But again, there is no description of the bride.
\nWhat does story really tell us? Of course it is desirable if one can transform water to wine. If you like wine and if you could transform water easily to wine, you can save your alcohol expenses \ud83d\ude42 and you might also make decent money, so that you may offer more to church. \ud83d\ude09
\nBut what I was focusing on is maybe not the important issue. What do you think about a wedding? It is the \u201cofficial\u201d start of a couple, husband and wife. \n I say that the story of Cana is giving us the same message. There is a time for earthly death, and in that moment of earthly death, we may say God as bridegroom welcomes the deceased as bride. In that moment, God is doing something miraculous which we cannot imagine from this side of the gate. On the other side, the bride may see the bridegroom and also all deceased loved ones again. The Lord be with you always before the gate and after the gate. May you experience the wedding when you get there and see the Lord\u2019s miraculous presence.
